David Amin
Founder ∙ Barrister ∙ Solicitor ∙ Notary Public
(Spec.)(Hons.) B.A. (Summa Cum Laude), M.A., J.D.
I love my job! I love working on legal problems that affect real people and ensuring that people are always treated as they ought to be treated. Being wildly extroverted, I take an active interest in you – the person – behind the legal issue you are going through. I am continually striving to listen carefully, ask clarifying questions, and probe underlying issues.
Education
- Called to the Ontario Bar (Toronto, 2013);
- Juris Doctorate (Western University Faculty of Law, 2012);
- Certificate of Negotiation (Western University Faculty of Law, 2012);
- Master of Arts – Philosophy of Law (University of Toronto, 2009);
- Certificate in Law and Social Thought (York University, 2008)
- Specialized (Honours) Bachelor of Arts – Moral, Political, Legal Philosophy (York University, 2008). Summa Cum Laude.
After my studies, I worked at a prominent general practice law firm in the Toronto area before partnering with my wife, Mona, to open Amin Law Office in 2014. This labour of love has now grown into Amin Law Professional Corporation. I have also had the privilege of speaking at conferences on a variety of topics. I’ve presented legal papers and case-law research before a wide spectrum of audiences ranging from academic peers and professors, to lay audiences and religious congregations.
As your legal counsel, I am committed to representing you with tenacity as well as integrity. I will always take the time to listen to your concerns, and walk with you through the court process, transaction, or plan. I strive – above all else – to ensure all matters are completed with wisdom and efficiency, so that you are comfortable and put at ease every step of the way.
Legal issues can be stressful – but dealing with your own lawyer doesn’t have to be. In my spare time, I love to hang out with friends, and eat extremely spicy food. When not at the office, my wife and I also serve at our local church, and run around with our young family!

our legacy of wisdom
Influenced by a Multitude of Counsellors
Don Crawford
Don Crawford was a renowned Criminal Defence Lawyer in London. He was known and loved by lawyers, and judges, as well as his clients. He will be sorely missed around the Legal Bar in London and surrounding areas. I will miss his wit. We worked together on several big cases, and I will also appreciate how he made space for me to flex my advocacy muscles rather than keep it all for himself. He was wonderful to work with.

Michael Menear
Mr. Menear remains a giant in the legal community. Having been a Certified Specialist in Family Law he also built up a significant Wills, Estates and Guardianship Practice. I am humbled by his friendship, and thankful for the time he invested into me and this practice. When he retired I noted that the London Legal Bar had suffered a great loss, for he was an excellent Lawyer and a magnanimous human being. If there was ever someone I aspire to - it is Mr. Menear.
Our legacy of growth
Our Story is One of Resilience, Mentorship, and Trust
Click and drag the timeline to see how far we’ve come— and this is only the beginning!

2014
Moved to London
After completing law school and several articles, David and his wife Mona moved to London to establish the firm. With David in court daily and Mona leading administration, they worked together to lay the foundation of a practice built on dedication.

2015
Expanded Into Real Estate
Recognizing client needs, we added real estate law to their services. From the ground up, we designed systems that ensured efficiency, reliability, and a personal touch—quickly becoming a trusted choice for families and investors.

2017
incorporation
The firm officially became Amin Law Professional Corporation, a milestone that reflected its steady growth and positioned it for further expansion into new practice areas and community impact.

2018
435 Ridout Street Office Fire
A devastating fire destroyed the firm’s office and files, but resilience defined the response. Instead of slowing down, we rebuilt stronger, committed to serving clients with renewed energy and a deeper appreciation for perseverance.

2020
Criminal Practice Acquisition
The firm acquired the criminal practice of Donald H. Crawford, a highly respected lawyer and mentor. His dedication to courtroom advocacy left a lasting mark, strengthening the firm’s expertise and continuing his legacy of principled legal service.

2022
Merger with Menear Worrad
The merger with Menear Worrad & Associates expanded the firm’s focus to wills, estates, and guardianship law. Guided by Mr. Menear’s mentorship, the firm embraced new knowledge and responsibilities, broadening its ability to support families through life’s complexities.

2024
Retirement of Mr. Menear
With Mr. Menear’s retirement, the firm inherited his extensive wills, estates, and guardianship practice. This transition marked both growth and responsibility, as the team expanded staffing they also came up with another problem: Space. We simply could not remain within the beautiful walls of 478 Waterloo Street with this growth.

2025
Moved to “Worthy place”
536 Queen’s Ave
To accommodate growth and to be physically closer to the Courthouse, we acquired 536 Queen’s Ave on the corner of Queen’s and Williams Street in the Woodfield district of London. “Worthy Place.” The historic 5,222-square-foot Victorian mansion has a wonderful, rich, history that befitted our legal roots and our big ambitions. We look forward to making it our home for a lifetime.
